Haven is authorised and regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission with permission number 4825

Haven complies with Data Protection Regulations in Gibraltar (per EU directives) and is registered with Gibraltar’s Data Protection Commissioner and the UK Information Office.

Established under the Financial Services Act 2019, the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission “GFSC” regulates the financial services industry in Gibraltar and whose aim is to protect consumers, enhance the reputation of Gibraltar as a quality financial services centre, and promote good business.

The GFSC supervises a broad range of firms including: auditors, banks, company managers, e-money institutions, professional trustees, payment services providers, funds and fund service providers, insurance companies, managers and intermediaries, investment firms, and insolvency practitioners. Firms that wish to do business in or from within Gibraltar must meet GFSC standards and criteria both at application stage and on an on-going basis.

GFSC supervisory work focuses primarily on the way firms are operated and governed, and the identification of risks to consumers and the reputation of the jurisdiction more generally.

Haven fully complies with the GFSC regulations in respect of the Distance Marketing Act 2006.

The Financial Services Commission is a statutory body corporate, established by the Financial Services Act 2019. The Commission is the regulatory and supervisory authority responsible for all Gibraltar financial services, including insurance.

Motor Insurer’s Bureau

Haven is a member and supporter of the UK’s Motor Insurer’s Bureau.

The Motor Insurer’s Bureau was established in 1946 to compensate the victims of negligent uninsured and untraced motorists.

Financial Ombudsman Service

Haven is a member and supporter of the UK’s Financial Ombudsman Service.

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) was set up by law and has official powers to settle financial complaints. The FOS is completely independent.
